Gregory Stokes

Gregory Stokes serves as the Director of the Office of Human Resources, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at United Community Housing Coalition (UCHC), bringing over 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector to his role. He holds a Master of Public Administration from Clark-Atlanta University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Oakland University.

In his current position, Gregory is dedicated to supporting housing initiatives in Detroit by fostering inclusive workplace environments and enhancing organizational effectiveness. Before joining UCHC, he was the Human Resources Director at Cass Community Social Services, where he implemented strategic HR initiatives to improve staff engagement and retention. Gregory has also held significant roles as the Interim Executive Deputy Director of Human Resources at Detroit Public Schools, Manager of Human Resources at Christ Child House, and Assistant Director of Human Resources at the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in Washington, DC.

An avid traveler and active member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., Gregory is committed to advancing social equity and promoting a positive organizational culture that aligns with UCHC's mission of providing safe and affordable housing for all.
